At this point, I'm not so sure about Cincinnati. I've seen a few different cities in my day, and this one does not take the prize. Out of Portland, Oregon, Manhattan, Seattle, Atlanta, Charlotte, Dallas, and San Francisco, I have to say that I would go for Cincinnati real estate last. I currently reside about 45 minutes from this less than extraordinary city. Now, I realize that a lot of the natives love it and they're all into the baseball team, bla bla bla, but judging it as an outsider, who has seen much more than just this one place, it's hard to commend Cincinnati. On the other hand, you may have a different opinion once you see it.

We have to be cautious when we invest in real-estate. Although we all want to discover a perfect place to live and valuable property to acquire, we don't want to make the grand error. This basically consists of buying in the wrong area. We have to pay close attention to the markets. Whether it's Austin, Seattle, Miami, or Cincinnati real estate doesn't matter. If it's worthless, you're better off not to bother. The value is based on many things. Check this out. There is a brand new high-end neighborhood about 12 miles from where I live. It sits in a nice area and the homes all sell for over a million a piece. Now, just about a month ago some idiot installed a Wal-Mart right next to it. OUCH! Talk about decreasing the property value. No rich folks want Wal-Mart! I'm not even wealthy, and I would never want a Wal-Mart next to my home. That's got to hurt the value of that wealthy neighborhood.

Maybe you're interested in Cincinnati real estate. Maybe you've always heard great things about the city and have dreamt about living there for years. All I have to say is be sure you visit the location for at least a week before you invest in Cincinnati real estate. Personally I think it's the dirtiest city I've been to. I don't think the amenities are great, and the crime level is quite high. In all truth, I avoid going into Cincinnati. Columbus is a much nicer area. It's in the opposite direction, but worth the drive. Look at both before deciding on a spot for yourself.
