Knight Rider Car
Anyone who has watched the original series with David Hasselhoff remembers the Knight Rider car Kit. That original car was a Firebird, and quite a beauty at that. Perhaps its most distinctive quality – apart from the pedantic and fussy talking computer – was the strip of red lights across the front. They would all flash in sequence and make different sounds whenever the camera did a close-up of it. I suppose the new Knight Rider series requires new Knight Rider cars, and they certainly haven't hesitated to change things up. Although they still feature a black, American-made muscle car, everything else is different. The new Knight Rider car is actually a Mustang – and a very souped up one at that. According to what I've read about it, it is in Mustang Shelby GT 500. It definitely has a bulkier, heavier look to it than the original. When you looked at that old Firebird, you almost could believe that it would be able to fly. This new one, however, looks much solid and more tough. It will be easier for audiences to believe it when the Mustang shrugs off bullets as if they were nothing. One thing I don't like about the new Knight Rider car is the fact that it no longer has the glowing strip of red lights on it. Nonetheless, it does have a host of neat high-tech eye candy that wasn't available on the original one. There is a video screen inside that will display cool graphics whenever KITT the car speaks. I'm sure the special effects will be better as well, and the weapons might be much more high-tech. There are quite a few differences in the knight rider cars, but I'm sure even the most die hard purists will be able to appreciate the Mustang. I know I'm already drooling at the prospect of watching it chase bad guys around. Apparently, the original Knight Rider car actually gone up for sale. I'm not surprised by this. With all the publicity that the series is getting as a result of its reintroduction, the owner of the original is probably figuring that he can get a few bucks out of the sale. And it certainly will cost a pretty penny. I've heard that the price of the Knight Rider car is nearly 200,000 dollars – Not exactly chump change. I'm sort of envious of whoever buys it. I was a big fan of the original series myself.
